Holiday Inn Gwangju, an IHG Hotel

The Holiday Inn Gwangju by IHG was in an excellent location. There were several restaurants and cafes nearby. My tour guide said that she met her clients at the hotel often for tour pickups. The staff was helpful and attentive when I asked questions. They called a taxi for me when it was time to leave and were courteous at checkout. The bathroom was spacious and the beds were comfortable. I especially liked that there was a small convenience store located inside the hotel. It was perfect for quick snack and small item purchases. Great idea!

The hotel is quite nice, located in a calm area with some restaurants nearby, but far from the city centre. The room was spacious and really clean, bed was comfy and staff really helpful. Parking lot worked really well. Would recommend.

Max, the Concierge, was amazingly helpful. He went well beyond ordering taxis and answering questions. His help has lead to a successful trip back to Korea. The hotel rooms, the breakfast, and the artwork was wonderful.

Close to the train station, it was a spacious, clean room and the staff were lovely. There was netflix on the TV which is great because so many hotels force you to watch their crappy paid channels. Big thanks to Mr Max Lee at the concierge. He was so helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Bonus of having a convenience shop attached to the hotel too.

Prior to the Holiday Inn I stayed at a 4-star hotel in Seoul and a 3-star in Suwon, and based on the overall experience this is my favourite hotel to date!🤩 The staff were friendly and informative upon check-in, the room was superb and had everything I needed and more. It was the only hotel I've stayed in so far that has face cloths (flannels). I loved the art work and self-playing piano in the lobby, as well as the available eateries. So impressed with this hotel!
